Day 11

Mpika to Mbeya. We visited the homestead of Shiwa Ngandu and apparently a similar party of veteran cars visited the farm seven years ago. We then crossed the Zambian border into Tansania, where it is recommended  to hire a  guide. We experienced the challenges of the border crossing with a reputation of being one of the worst for this journey. Steffen also replaced the top gasket seal  of his merc on the border.The coffee plantation lodge at Mbeya  was a wonderful place to relax with a sunset walk and swim.
